# Overview

The Autopilot MCP server lets AI assistants such as Claude connect directly to your Autopilot account. Once connected, you can ask questions about your Amazon listings in plain language and get answers grounded in your real product data — enrolled ASINs, live listing content, the Keyword Bank, Unique Selling Points, product Facts, and customer Review Insights — without leaving your chat.

MCP (the [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io)) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external tools and data. Autopilot exposes a set of read tools over MCP; the assistant decides which to call based on what you ask, and every call is scoped to the data your Autopilot account can already see.

{% hint style="info" %}
Access is authenticated with your own Autopilot login over OAuth, and is limited to organizations and ASINs you are already enrolled in. The assistant can only **read** your data through these tools — it cannot publish changes to Amazon.
{% endhint %}

## Getting started

Connect the server once in your AI assistant, then start asking questions.

* [**Setup**](/autopilot-mcp/setup.md) — connect Autopilot to your assistant.

After connecting, try a prompt like:

> *"Using Autopilot, what are the current listing details of ASIN B07XYZ1234 in the US?"*
