# ChatGPT

Connecting Autopilot in ChatGPT uses **Developer Mode**, available on plans that support custom MCP connectors (such as ChatGPT Plus). The Autopilot MCP endpoint is `https://my.autopilotbrand.com/mcp`.

## 1. Enable Developer Mode

1. Go to **Settings**.
2. Open **Plugins**.
3. Find **Developer Mode** and turn it on.

Developer Mode is off by default, so it must be enabled before continuing.

## 2. Add the Autopilot connection

1. In **Plugins**, click the **+** button.
2. Add the **Autopilot** MCP connection, using the endpoint URL above.
3. Choose **Site**.
4. Select **OAuth** for authentication.

This completes the initial connection setup.

## 3. Sign in and authorize

1. After selecting OAuth, you're prompted to sign in.
2. Follow the authorization flow to finish connecting.
3. Once authenticated, verify that the connection is active and working.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the connection stops working or authentication expires, reopen the Autopilot connection in **Plugins** and re-authorize. Access always uses your current Autopilot session and permissions.
{% endhint %}
